Speaker :  Dick Hannah – HASC - VP of Learning and Innovation
Topic : Training Innovations for Industry
Bio : Dick Hannah has been working as the VP of Learning and Innovation for HASC since 2019. He has worked in and around the oil refining and petrochemical industries for almost twenty years, working primarily in skills and safety training. Presently he is investigating how HASC can develop techniques to deliver computer-based, instructor-led, and hands-on training in more effective and innovative ways. His most recent projects include finding ways to blend Virtual Reality (VR) into the HASC eLearning mix and implementing microlearning strategies for HASC members. In the past, Dick has worked as a technical writer, authoring safety manuals for major refineries and contractor organizations, as a proposal writer and project manager for industrial cleaning and construction firms, and in training and recruiting for a national industrial services company. He is pursuing a Ph.D. in Adult and Continuing Education to help implement more adult learning strategies and methodologies into HASC’s training offering.
