Does experience matter more than natural talent

I’ve had this debate with a few friends recently. What do you think matters more in the long run: natural talent or experience gained over time? Some people seem naturally good at handling pressure, while others improve slowly through repetition and discipline. I personally feel experience becomes more valuable eventually, but I’m curious if you see it differently.

I’d definitely choose experience. Talent might help someone start faster, but experience teaches patience, control, and consistency. I actually read an article recently https://thekenyatimes.com/sponsored/why-discipline-beats-strategy-in-90-of-gambling-scenarios/ that explored a similar mindset, and I thought it was surprisingly insightful. What I appreciated most was how the article focused on behavior rather than just theory. It explains that people often fail because they rely too much on confidence and not enough on discipline. That really resonated with me because I’ve seen talented people lose focus once things stop going smoothly. Meanwhile, those who stay patient and keep learning usually improve steadily over time.
